What the meanig of «Hydrocracking oil»?

Hydrocracking oil is a type of oil that is made by applying high pressure and heat to mineral oil in the presence of hydrogen gas to break down molecules of unwanted compounds in the oil and produce a highly refined oil. The benefits of hydrocracked oils are better engine protection, reduced wear, and better fuel efficiency. These oils have a higher viscosity index, which allows them to maintain their viscosity and lubricating properties over a wider temperature range compared to mineral oils. Properties of hydrocracking oils are close to those of synthetic oils, which is why in the market such oils may be referred to as semi-synthetic or synthetic besides the class of hydrocracking oils.
