What the meanig of «PAO»?

PAO (polyalphaolefin) oils are fully synthetic oils, which are produced by synthesis of hydrocarbon gases. PAO oils have many advantages over other types of oils, including unmatched engine protection at extreme temperatures, as well as reduced wear and improved fuel efficiency. They also have a higher viscosity index and lower volatility, and retain their viscosity and lubricating properties for a longer period of time. However, PAO oils tend to be the most expensive type of motor oil.
