News: SUNOCO engine oils with SAE viscosity 5W-40
Before the winter we would like to draw the attention of car owners to the engine oils with SAE viscosity 5W-40. Usually, they are synthetic high performance engine oils with a very wide temperature range. Such oils have some differences from SAE 10W-40 and SAE 5W-30 viscosity oils.
Compared with the popular semi-synthetic oils with viscosity SAE 10W-40 engine oils with viscosity SAE 5W-40 have better low temperature properties and provide easier low-temperature start of a cold engine, for example, after a long overnight stay.
Compared with the most common oils with a viscosity SAE 5W-30, oils with viscosity SAE 5W-40 have better protective properties due to a thicker and denser lubricating film on the parts. This is especially important when using engines in heavy-duty operating conditions, such as urban modes of transportation of goods and passengers, driving off-road or in the ice, or prolonged driving at high speeds on highways.
The SUNOCO range of engine oils for passenger cars includes two products with SAE 5W-40 viscosity. These are ULTRA FULL SYNTHETIC EURO PLUS 5W-40 full ash oil and SYNTURO XENON 5W-40 medium ash oil.
