News: SUNOCO SUPER C 15W-40 CK-4 officially approved by Mercedes-Benz

Mercedes-Benz AG announced that SUNOCO SUPER C 15W-40 CK-4 Diesel Engine Oil by Sunoco Lubricants /Philadelphia, PA, USA/ is approved for use in eligible Mercedes-Benz vehicles and units according to MB 228.31 specification.

MB 228.31 is an engine oil specification with medium sulfated ash, phosphorus and sulfur content. Designed for use at normal replacement intervals in high-performance medium and heavy-duty diesel engines equipped with advanced exhaust aftertreatment systems such as diesel particulate filters (DPF).

These are, first of all, MB commercial vehicles with Euro VI engines, including Conecto buses and shuttle buses, Travego buses, Setra buses, Unimog trucks and others. The application of such oils is also effective in the engines of cars and equipment with the pre-requirements for the purity of exhaust gases (up to Euro V), for example minibuses Vito, Sprinter with engines without particulate filters, wheel loaders with MB engines and so on.

The usage of the approved engine oil gives the user the certainty of trouble-free operation of MB vehicles and the possibility of using the oil during the warranty period.
